    Hi,

    I noticed the links in my Yoast sitemap are loading slowly. I don’t think it’s due to the site being large or anything as I have compared with my competitors Yoast sitemaps and theirs are loading fairly quickly. Any suggestions why this happens? My site loads quickly otherwise. Qmonitor shows 0.20s.

    Actually, it’s still slow when I try other sitemaps as well, so it’s not just Yoast.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for reaching out about your slow sitemap. Since this happens with or without Yoast SEO, have you considered speaking with your web hosting provider to check the server? For our plugin specifically, check that your server meets the?plugin requirements.

    Hi and thank you for your answer. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the server. The website is very fast and loads in 1.3s with a ttfb of 140ms. There are no issues at all really. It’s just when I use the sitemap I notice it is very slow to load for some reason.

    You mentioned the sitemap loads slowly when you try other sitemaps as well, so it’s not just Yoast.

    Can you kindly check conflict on your site to see if any plugin is causing this?

    Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty-Two.

    Please test this on your development or staging site if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.
