Slow stripe payment checkout

Thanks for reaching out!

I am using this plugin along with the woocommerce subscription plugin. But unfortunately payment processing takes very much time (around 40 secs). I tried disabling all the plugins to debug the issue but at the end when i tried to place order by Woocommerce’s “Pay by cheque” method, the order was placed immediately (within a fraction of second).
Even after disbaling “Woocommerce subscription” plugin, the issue still continues.
So the delay should be caused by this plugin.

I see that you have disabled all your plugins to see if the issue is with any of them.

Have you tried running a full conflict test by reverting your theme to a default one like Storefront and disabling all plugins except WooCommerce and Stripe as well?

If that doesn’t address your issue, please share a copy of your site’s System Status with us for further insight. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

Yes i have tried this plugin in a fresh project with superfront theme and a single product. Still, checkout took 16 secs in my localhost.

Hi there!

Thanks for sharing the system status report.

I tried checkout on my test site in conflict testing mode – it took about 10 ~ 12 seconds to complete.

This is expected because the Stripe plugin has to communicate with the Stripe server to perform different steps such as credit card validation, doing some fraud checks, 3DS validation, checking if the payment is completed on Stripe’s end, etc.

I gave it a try on my test setup and found that it is not taking that long. In your case, it is likely that during the process of execution it is communicating with some other plugin, which is using up some moments. Could you please try in conflict-testing mode? I see that you have a caching plugin installed on your site.

Please make sure you have excluded your Cart, Checkout, and My Account pages from being cached as advised here: https://woocommerce.com/document/configuring-caching-plugins/#wprocket

Additionally, please share with us any fatal error logs being generated on WooCommerce→Status→Logs under the fatal-errors.log option from the dropdown.
