Slow theme options

  • Not sure if this has to do with my theme or WP, but everything runs perfectly smooth and lightning fast except the Theme Options area. It is incredibly slow, doesn’t lock up forever but nearly feels that way. I have shut it down before after waiting for well over 2-3 minutes for each tab to load.

    FYI, I am using the Avada theme, purchased from Themeforest.com

    Thoughts?

    If it’s only the options that are slow that would make me think it’s a theme issue. Have you tried switching to the WordPress default theme to see if that works any quicker?

    Also, do you have access to the site’s error logs as this can often highlight a problem area?
