Slow Website

  • Hi everyone;

    I am new to wordpress and have been kinda stuck for a while. My problem is that my home page loads SUPER slow “www.marianelaradio.com”. I tried to add W3 Total Cache pluggin but still it is slow. I’m not sure what to do. I tried gtmetrix but it keeps giving me an error that it is taking to long.. https://gtmetrix.com/?job_error=ezYBMCSI. Any help is greatly appreciated.   • Try disabling all plugins and check if it goes any faster. If so, try enabling them one by one and check every time you activated one if the speed of your site dropped. Then you found the culprit.

    I do notice that the site automaticly plays media, which can be a huge factor to this problem, however i am not entirely sure.

    Thank you Dying Dutchman for the reply. I will try disabling the plugins one by one. I was thinking it was more because even tho at the bottom you have an arrow to go to the next page, everything still loads on the main page, and doesn’t split it into pages. If you click the arrow, it will split the pages but it still loads everything onto the main page.

    I will try the plugins trick, but I think it might have to do with the images loading. I read somewhere that you can smush thos images so that they take up less space? Not sure. Will keep at it.

    Thanks for the help. It was the facebook like plug in. Actually I disabled a lot of other ones to that I realized I didn’t need. Page running much more smoothly now. Thank you for all your help.
