• Hi,

We have this e-commerce made with YITH Proteo and many YITH plugins and since a few days it started being very slow and we don’t know why. Could the theme or any of the plugins be the cause? We have no clue, let us know if there is anything needed to inspect.

    Thanks in advance,
    Lab26

    Hello there,
I’ve tested your site with a few light testing online tools (Dareboost, GTMetrix and similar)
There are few things to highlight before looking for issues in the theme:
    – you are using a lot of plugins, and some of them are duplicated and not useful or outdated
    – you are using a plugin named “Test jQuery Updates” which states in his description: A feature plugin to help with testing updates of the jQuery and jQuery UI JavaScript libraries (not intended for use in production).”
    – Mailchimp, you are using 2 plugins for the same thing: Mailchimp for WooCommerce, MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress
    – you are using the google tag manager plugin. Inside of GTM console (on GTM website) you can insert all your monitoring codes. Using it in a proper way you don’t need other plugins to connect to facebook, facebook pixel, analytics and similar)
    – you are using two plugins to duplicate posts: Yoast Duplicate Post and Duplicate PP
    – also different importing plugins are enabled too.
When you don’t need something, always disable it. Expecially when referring to a Production website.
I can also see something about EWWW and Autoptimize. Their configuraiton may affect your website is a positive or negative way too.
