SLOW XML import

    i wanted to modify some post of my site and import again.
    i have many categories so i too xml export of each category and modifies as per requirement like slug change/header change add additionals tags globaly to whole XML file and import.

    i have done this 2 days before with very good speed without any error or problem. it was importing 100s of pages in few(2/3) minutes but now it abort in less than one minute then slowly after a hour posts starts to appear even original XML file moved from the source. like it took XML file in cache and importing posts.

    PLEASE let me know what may cause this problem.
    i have Akismet/Delete-Revision/Fix Database/Google XML Sitemaps/HTML Import 2/ShareThis/WordPress Importer Plugins.

    it takes a day to import 100 posts, it takes few minutes and abort the page.
    i can logout or delete XML file
    but site update page by page, a post a minute to 5 minute.

    its not imported from other type of blogs, its a export of wordpress locally installed but some tags/categories changed globally as per live site. and https://localhost to live site name

    That sounds like a server issue. Have you checked the servers error logs?

    there are no errors on server.
    I have VPS and its using only 50% of memory
    there are no database errors too.

    i think these are normal.

    and wordpress has no answer so far

    after struggling for a week, and not getting support form WORDPRESS;
    Today i disabled all pluggins…..
    EUREKA…….!

    i wanted to find out which plugin cause for this slowness;
    after enabling one by one i found out
    SMART UPDATE PINGER cause slowness.
