Slows down site and creates a lot of requests

  • I noticed this plugin caused longer loading times on my site. According to pingdom tools, FB Messenger created 33 more requests and my front page size increased by 500kb.

    I don’t need the plugin functionalities enough to compensate for this increase in loading times. Furthermore the plugin hasn’t been updated and it forces users to leave the website in order to continue chatting.

    The plugin itself has very low impact. Facebook however loads the required scripts to enable the chat functionality on your website. This is not handled by the plugin at all.
