hey, i have cloned my site to try fixing the issue. so the urls here are all on the cloned site.

so, i have updated pods and after the update all the “category” part in the url changed and became dashes / hyphens.

    • the slugs that had the error after the update were in hebrew, the english ones are OK:

english one (the part in the URL is “excel-lessons”):
      https://wordpress-691047-3827946.cloudwaysapps.com/excel-lessons/%d7%94%d7%a1%d7%a8%d7%aa-%d7%9b%d7%a4%d7%99%d7%9c%d7%95%d7%99%d7%95%d7%aa/

Hebrew one (with the error used to be “??????” (“games” in hebrew), but now it is “—–“):
      https://wordpress-691047-3827946.cloudwaysapps.com/————/%d7%95%d7%95%d7%a8%d7%93%d7%9c/

see for youself, try copy and paste it

      it suppose to be:
      https://wordpress-691047-3827946.cloudwaysapps.com/%D7%9E%D7%A9%D7%97%D7%A7%D7%99%D7%9D/%d7%95%d7%95%d7%a8%d7%93%d7%9c/

the slug shows hebrew on the browser, but when copy and pasting it is changing the letters to this precentage thing (a normal thing and it is ok) but again, after the update it is showing dashes….
    • i tried to recreate from the permalinks with all versions possible, working, but not with the need one: /%category%/%postname%/
    • i tried to select via elementor all kind of options, not working
    • i have other sites which the update didnt create any issues and they are working fine
    • i think i need a utf non latin option to be turned on or something

please help, i need to update the production site

    thanks Yotam

    Hi @yotam101

This is a question better asked at the cloning service you are using.
Pods merely registers the post types, we do not control it’s data storage.

My first guess would be a SQL config issue but I cannot be sure.

    Cheers, Jory

hey jory, thanks for the answer.

regarding the cloning service, i did it the cloning after i updated the produciton site ( lulaot.co.il ) which the same thing happened there, so it not the cloning service.

i talked to the server support and they told me to talk to you…

i will try the sql angle, i hope to find an answer there.

    will update ASAP
