    Hello guys, how are you?

I think i figure out a long time issue… this issue hunting me for years and only now i actually figure this out (i compline before but i didn’t know the specific issue with front page slug and breadcrumb from Yoast plugin)

So, i have 3 websites identical in different languages.

    https://locksmithunit.com – English

    https://locksmithunit.cat – Catalan

    https://locksmithunit.es – Spanish – the problematic

As you know, Yoast force you put a slug even in the front page (inside the default WordPress editor).

Even if you keep the slug option blank, after saving the front page editor, Yoast bring back the last slug was in use (front page don’t have a slug, it’s the front page).

i notice in the search, google recognize this slug:

    https://ibb.co/C2BD710

I check in Google Search Console, you see it in the Breadcrumb scheme:

    https://ibb.co/rpx0bnb

I checked the other websites (Catalan and English) and the issue not happened with these 2 websites:

    https://ibb.co/ZS5ctV4

When i checked in Google Search Console inspection tool, the breadcrumb schema not show these slug on the breadcrumb schema:

    https://ibb.co/19Sn24R

The problem is only in Spanish, and google shows a slug in the front page. (locksmithunit.es/cerrajero-barcelona/)

Google identifies the front page slug and treats my Spanish front page as a non-front page…

I still dont wanna blame Yoast, it can be Mesmerize Theme as well. (and the pro plugin they have Mesmerize Companion)

But it worth a shot to check with you too…

    Please help.

    Hello @123nadav

Thanks for reaching out about your breadcrumbs. I ran the three sites through Google’s rich result test tool and the outcome is the same. The breadcrumbs ID don’t have the slug:

And when I performed a site search, the slug was not included. See screenshot. Have you considered clearing your browser cache so you are viewing updated results?

you absolutely right, the isiue is with the THEME before couple of hours, isiue was in the General option of WordPress and the THEME.

Sorry on the ticket. it is a false alarm.
