Hello, I have been using the EventPrime plugin for a few months and have been loving it!

I just noticed a change with the backend Event dashboard within wordpress. I used to be able to include a custom slug for each event (ie. https://www.example.com/events/custom-event-name instead of the auto generated https://www.example.com/events/?event=15861 )

From the Events > All Events dashboard, where all the events are displayed, I would be able to click on “Quick Edit” and an option to add type in a Slug would be displayed. However, now that option is missing. In addition that being missing, all of my previously created slugs are not working.

Is this due to an update that was made tot EventPrime or could it be that another setting within WordPress was modified unintentionally?

    Thanks in advance! ??

    Luke

Thank you for your positive feedback!

To resolve this, please follow these steps:

    1. Go to the event edit page.
    2. Click on the “Screen Options” tab located at the top right corner of the page.
    3. Ensure that the “Slug” checkbox is checked.

This should make the slug metabox reappear, allowing you to add or edit custom slugs for your events.

Thanks very much for your response! Unfortunately, “Slug” checkbox is not an option in the Screen Options tab.

It seems you might be checking the Screen Options tab on the “All Events” page. Please ensure you are checking the Screen Options tab on the “Edit Event” page instead. Here’s a screenshot given below:

    Hi,

Thank you again for your help. Unfortunately, that does not seem to be working either. The slug option is available on the “Edit Event” page; however, the URL does not work. Please see the attached screenshot.

Also, it might be worth noting that previously I was able to add a slug to an event from the “All Events” page after clicking on “Quick Edit.” Currently, that is no longer an option. Additionally, all of my previously created slugs are not working. They were functioning correctly when I first set them up and until about a week ago.

It seems to me that something in the backend may have been altered — possibly with the EventPrime plugin or WordPress.

I appreciate your continued support ??

    1. Navigate to the Events menu.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Under the General tab, locate the SEO sub-tab.
    4. Ensure that Enable Pretty URLs is checked.

I’m also experiencing this issue – on an older site that has gone through quite a number of EventPrime updates. A newer site does not have this issue.

@eventprimesupport, I just tested this and found that the “Pretty URLs” toggle was off. I turned it on, and now it’s working perfectly! Thank you very much for your support with this issue.

    Have a nice day!
