    Before the update, the slug used to be automatically filled in with the article title. Now, it is not.

    I checked my Permalink settings and they are correctly set for post name.

    Thanks for reaching out here. We’re sorry to hear that you’re having trouble generating the slug automatically when Yoast SEO is active.

    I am afraid to say that I was unable to reproduce the issue on my end while using the latest version of WordPress v5.8 and Yoast SEO v16.7 in the Gutenberg editor. So, can you please confirm whether you’re having the automated slug generation issue when using the Gutenberg editor and whether you’re running the latest version of everything on your website?

    I’m on Yoast SEO Premium 16.7 and WordPress 5.8 I’m using whatever editor comes with WordPress, so I guess its’ Gutenberg.
