small conflict between Group ID help messages
-
ZotPress is absolutely wonderful. One small way to improve it would be to clear up some conflicting help messages about where to find the Group ID number.
One answer appears on the “Add a Zotero Account” page, when floating over the “?” symbol for User ID. It reads: “. . .Group IDs are found in the group’s URL, after “groups.” . . should be a number 1-6+ digits in length.”
But the correct info that worked for me appeared on the ZotPress Help FAQ page:
“How do I find a group ID?
There are two ways, depending on the age of the group. Older Zotero groups will have their group ID listed in the URL: a number 1-6+ digits in length after “groups”. New Zotero groups may hide their group ID behind a moniker. If you’re the group owner, you can login to Zotero, click on “Groups”, and then hover over or click on “Manage Group” under the group’s title. Everyone else can view the RSS Feed of the group and note the group id in the URL.”(In my case, I had to float over “Manage Profile”)
If the latter info appeared (or a link to it), I bet other users would have an easier time figuring out the zotero group ID number.
thanks for all you do with ZotPress
