small isscue – post repeating

  • Hi, first of all, i rly love your theme, defenitly one of the best out there. I have 2 questions about it.

    1. When you have “latest blog post” on, it kinda doubles the post… u have for example 4 newest post, and just right below it, again the same four posts among older ones, is it possible to show newest post only in the “Latest Posts ” ? (sorry if its a bit hard to understand, english is not my first language ;))

    2. Is it possibe to have logo centered and menu on the right side of it, not below ?

    once more, thank you for a great theme.

    oh and one more question, to change read more… to somthing custom (in my language) ?? I wos able to fint “coninued” but i can’t find read more ??

    1. If your front page is the latest posts page in your wordpress settings the the “page content” is your latest posts. Either make your font page a static page or disable the page content or latest posts in your theme options > home layout.

    2. No not really, You could with the premium theme because it has this layout option:
    https://themes.kadencethemes.com/virtue-premium-2/ and you don’t have to use the left menu, but with free it’s not really an option.

    3. Using the language files is the best way to translate strings. You would be able to translate whatever without messing with the template files.
    But the string for read more is in the templates/home/blog-home.php file.

    i will prabobly consider purchesing premium, when i get some viewers ^^

    one more question, using SEO Doctor it detected that my home page is “indexable”, i tried figuring out why, since i checked that i want page to be indexed, and all other pages are indexed.
    Error msg :
    PAge is not indexable because This page has a canonical URL set to https://mysite
    HTML: <meta robots=”noindex”>
    HTTP: X-Robots-Tag:noindex
    robots.txt User-agent:*Dissallow: /
    HTML:/ <link rel=”canonical’/>

    I know it prabobly is not an theme question, but i hope someone can give me advices where to look for solution. (i checked source code, and there are no noindex )

    Are you using an SEO plugin like Yaost?

    OK what is the link? And you didn’t click the “Search Engine Visibility” box in settings > reading right?

    i added that line to funcions, and now the problem seems to be gone. i am just not sure that it is a good to idea disable canonical entirely.

    Was it showing up in the yoast section of the header? You might just want to contact them and see if this is a settings issue.
