Is there a way to set the og:image tag so that it uses the “resized” version of the image instead of the original full-res image? I tend to upload 6+ meg files and resize them to 1200 wide in WP/Media. From using the Open Graph Debugger, it still appears however that the original jpg is being used instead.

    Thanks!

The full size images don’t have any impact on the page load time. The open graph tags contain the image path but obviously the image is not rendered.

It’s ideal to have the larger version anyway. While Facebook specifically likes your open graph images to be one of two specific sizes (1200×630 or 600×315) some other social networks (take Google+ for example) can utilise much larger images.

But to answer your question directly – sorry no this isn’t an option with this plugin.
