    Automatic actions also not work.
When I click “sync all children”, that work fine.

Thank you for taking the time to install and try the Smart Media Categories example plugin, and thank you for your questions.

You wrote “many post show “no children”.” The “Children” column in the Posts/Pages admin submenu table will show the Media Library items “Attached” to each Post/Page. This is a WordPress feature that sets a “Parent” value in the database record for the Media Library item.

You can verify that an item is “Attached” by navigating to the Media/Assistant admin screen and adding the “Attached to” column to the submenu table. You may have to click on the “Screen Options” link in the top-right corner of the screen and then click the box to the left of “Attached to” to add the column to your display.

WordPress will not automatically “Attach” an item in all cases. If you find “Unattached” items that should be attached to a Post/Page you can use the “Set Parent” link in the “Attached to” column to assign a parent. If you have a large number of items to fix, consider the “Insert Fixit Tools” example plugin, which has a number of tools in the “Attach Media Library items” section to help automate the process.

You wrote “Automatic actions also not work.” It has been quite a while since I last tested the Smart Media Categories example plugin, and there may be changes in WordPress that are causing a problem. If you can give me a more detailed description of the steps you follow to cause the problem(s) I can investigate further.

I will leave this topic unresolved for now. Please post an update if you have any problems or further questions regarding the above suggestions, and any additional information you can provide. Thank you for your interest in the plugin.
