    Hi,

    I’m using Avada Theme (Avada’s Instagram element is defunct due to their issues with Meta) so I’m attempting to use Smash Balloon.

    In Smash Balloon’s setting > Color Scheme I’m using> Inherit from Theme, however, in my Chrome browser only, the Instagram background color does not show the color of ‘Inherit from Theme’ but a random “red” color. It appears in Chrome Inspector the “red” color is via an injected stylesheet:

    #sb_instagram {
    background: rgb(230, 115, 112) !important;
    outline: rgb(255, 0, 0) solid !important;
    }

    Other browsers (Safari, Vivaldi, Opera) show the Instagram background correctly – the only issue is in Chrome.

    I edit WordPress in Chrome & in Smash Balloon’s setting the Instagram background also shows as a “red” color.

    Fyi, I’ve cleared caches in all browsers used multiple times.

    Would you know what is going on &/or how to remedy it?

    Thank you.

    Hi @omnibusf,

    Thanks for contacting us! I checked the feed on https://sarakulaski.com/test/ with Chrome, but I am not seeing those CSS rules applied to #sb_instagram on my end. It does sound like a caching issue, but I know you mentioned already clearing your browser cache.

    Another possibility would be a browser extension that is injecting CSS. This could be an extension for testing CSS rules or even something seemingly unrelated to CSS might still change CSS on the page. So you may want to test opening the page in an Incognito window or check with Chrome on another device if possible.

    Unfortunately, since we can’t replicate this issue on our end, we can’t really dig in to pinpoint where the problem is coming from.

    I hope this information helps! If you have any other questions, please let us know.

    Thanks!

    Hi Louis, thank you for checking.

    I was finally able to figure out why Chrome & Firefox do not show Smash Balloon’s plugin Instagram feed correctly – The problem is caused by extensions I have on both browsers that interrupt it (*one extension is Adblock Plus ABP).

    On browsers that have no extensions, Smash Balloon’s plugin works fine.

    Thanks again!
