• Hey all!

I’m having a bit of a blonde moment. I’m trying to install SMF ready to integrate with wordpress, but wordpress redirects all subdirectories to its own pages, so I can’t access the folder where I’ve uploaded the SMF files. Help please!

  • A little help? What is “SMF” and what is it for?

You need to install SMF in a separate folder outside of WordPress. I guess you know that now. Use your ftp program to delete the SMF directory and reinstall it.

SMF doesn’t really integrate with WordPress so I’m not sure what your goal is. Perhaps a link to your site might help.

Ladydeluna – SMF stands for Simple Machines Forum – it is the best free forum software available.

Lexhair – tev’s goal is, most likely, to use WP as a front end for his website and also provide users with a forum that will allow them to register once for both his blog the forum. The goal is to have both softwares utilize the same database of user info so that logging in to WP would also log the same user into the forum simulataneously.

Im still trying to figure out how to link to my smf forum from my blog site. I need to know how to create an external link. I havent found the answer. Posted here and it appears to have been removed.
