SMF's ssi.php in WordPress
-
Hey all,
Fairly new user to WordPress (3.2.1 in root) and have been trying to integrate some SMF (2.0 in subdirectory) functionality into an install.
I’ve included SMF’s ssi.php into WordPress, however it is unable to verify that any user is actually logged in. The other functions work perfectly – it can generate a list of recent threads, logged in users and the like. Even a log in box works – it lets a user log in to SMF from WP, however once they navigate back to a WP page, they are greeted as a guest.
I’ve tested a simple standalone php page in the WP directory (root) and it works fine, confirming that the issue is with wordpress. I could iframe these back in but I’d rather avoid the compatibility and performance hit and “do it properly”.
I’m wondering if anyone else has been able to integrate SMF and WP using SMF SSI successfully and if anyone’s aware of any conflicts or reasons why SMF SSI doesn’t work in wordpress?
