    So I’m experiencing a problem where there’s a little smiley face getting added at the bottom of my page (https://www.carlino-fgs.com/) like this:

    smiley

    Which includes the following code:

    <img src="https://pixel.wp.com/g.gif?v=ext&j=1%3A4.9&blog=129934641&post=0&tz=2&srv=www.carlino-fgs.com&host=www.carlino-fgs.com&ref=&rand=0.9690963729893918" alt=":)" width="6" height="5" id="wpstats">

    I currently got rid of it by using:

    img[src*="https://pixel.wp.com/g.gif"]{display:none!important}

    But I’m not sure how this will influence the tracking as I noticed this has something to do with the actual tracking of Jetpack.

    So how would I fix this rather annoying problem actually?

    Thanks in advance for further information!

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    You can hide the smiley by going to Jetpack > Settings > Traffic in your dashboard; you’ll find an option to hide the smiley face there, in the Stats card.

    Great thanks, not sure why it is there in the first place to be honest!

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    The image used to be helpful when Stats were first launched, and when tracking visitors worked a bit differently. Nowadays, it’s just a legacy thing that looks nice imo. ??

    The option isn’t activated by default anymore, so another admin on your site most likely enabled it a while ago; or maybe you did, a long time ago ??

    Might be with updating to the latest version and changing some settings, not sure how this happened though, but thanks either way!
