Smilies not working

    I recently had a problem with the upgrade to 3.6 which meant that I had to reload all my FTP files. This cured the fatal error messages I was getting which is fantastic.

    The only problem I have now, which, compared to the above, is only a small one, is that my smilies don’t work! I know I must have missed a file somewhere but I’m not sure where it is! (I’m not very technically-minded) – please could someone advise?

  • Could you check if the settings are enabled for smilies. You can check them from Settings > Writing.

    Thanks for your reply, simplysaru.

    I had checked that and the box was ticked. I have now un-ticked it as it brings up lots of blue squares with a ? in on all the smilies I’ve used in the past.

    Another manual update has finally sorted out all my problems, thanks to all of you who have helped me along the way.
