Smooth Slider not working with Comment Luv

I have installed the smooth slider plugin and have everything setup how I want it. The preview works fine but when I drop the short code into the page I want it on, it doesn’t show up. Through trial and error and I found that it is the Comment Luv plugin that is causing the conflict. When I disable that, it works perfectly. However, I am not willing to give up Comment Luv… SO.. is there a work around for this so I can have the smooth slider and comment luv?
