• I uploaded a high-quality map to the site. It opens perfectly in the lightbox. But if you press the zoom button on the PC, the map gets too close. And there’s no way to put it off a little bit. Only back in the original size.

By the way, everything works fine on the mobile version and smoothly approaches and moves away. This is a PC-only problem.

    Please help me solve it!

I see that you still use PhotoSwipe 4. There will be no updates for PhotoSwipe 4 any longer.

Please change to PhotoSwipe 5 and see if that works better for you. PhotoSwipe 5 also allows to use [Ctrl]+Mouswheel to zoom in and out.

Hello! Thanks for the answer! Version 5 is indeed a little better.

    But!

Not everyone can guess to use [Ctrl]+Mouswheel to zoom in. Without ctrl, the approximation is only about 10%. In addition, in PhotoSwipe 5, unfortunately, there is no “Share” button (I need the “download” function).

Is there any other way I can influence this issue? Or wait for updates from you and look for a new plugin for now?

[Ctrl]+mousewheel is the default for web browsers. The same way you can also zoom in/out of a website, not just in Photoswipe. Also many other applications which support zoom use that gesture (for example PDF viewer in browsers or office programs).

About customization: no, without any modification of the plugin code this can not be changed. However, PhotoSwipe 5 has a “secondary zoom level” and “max zoom level”. These are used when clicking the zoom button and when using the mousewheel to zoom. Also see https://photoswipe.com/adjusting-zoom-level/. The plugin uses “fill” for the secondary zoom level, which means images will not be wider as the viewport. I may add an option in the backend to configure the zoom levels for initial zoom and manual zoom for PhotoSwipe 5 in a future update.
