Hi, just installed fluent smtp to try it out.

To start, I chose to connect it to the server’s mail server (VPS) via the Other SMTP option.

I’m setting it up, but when trying to send test email I’m getting the error

SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host. Connection failed. stream_socket_enable_crypto(): Peer certificate CN=<mail server host>' did not match expected CN=<domain mail server>’

    any ideas?

    Thank you

    Hello there,

The error message “could not connect to SMTP host” typically signifies an inability of your web server to establish a connection with the SMTP server. This issue may arise due to the presence of a firewall or a comparable barrier between your web server and the SMTP server. In addition, kindly check if you have ip address in the SMTP host. Some host provides IP address as SMTP host. Also, if your user name is email, kindly try setting that email as From Email.

    Thank you
