  • I’m getting the same error. I can login to my email with the password fine, but all of a sudden (in the last 16 ours) this plug that has been configured and working fine is saying it can’t authenticate. I even ran the latest update to be sure I had the current plug-in version. Hopefully they reply soon before I make myself crazy trying to find a problem.

    Hi @undergroundengland123, @sassilauren

    Usually, the authentication error is caused due to incorrect SMTP credentials, SMTP authentication may have been disabled for your account. So, you can contact your SMTP provider with the full error log. Here’s a screenshot for the option to get a full error log.

    Thank you!

    @sanzeeb3 I can’t get that report because I upgraded to the pro plugin in hopes of getting support, but now when I attempt to send a test email I get an error “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.” So I can’t even click to view the full error log. ??

    Hi Sanjeev

    The screenshot you sent with the “View Full Error Log” button does not appear on any of the three tabs in the “Settings” for Easy WP SMTP, is there another location in WP for the screenshot page.

    Many thanks

    @undergroundengland123 I think you actually have to do a test email and then that option is presented when the test email fails.

    Hi Sassislauren

    We made a “Test Email” but the error message appears, as per original request for Support, but the test button does not appear.

    @undergroundengland123 I’m not sure. The full error log button should be at the bottom (scroll all the way down) once a test email is attempted and the screen says there was an error. ??

    Hi @sassilauren,

    I upgraded to the pro plugin in hopes of getting support, but now when I attempt to send a test email I get an error

    If you’re using a Pro version, please submit the ticket from the contact form.

    @undergroundengland123,

    Button does not appear on any of the three tabs in the “Settings” for Easy WP SMTP

    Please note this is a support forum for WP Mail SMTP plugin. If you’re using Easy WP SMTP, it’s a different plugin and you’ll need to contact that plugin support.

    Thank you!
