I keep getting this error pop up.

    Module Notification Center
    Type Error
    Description Sending Notification Failed
    Notification Grade Report Change
Error SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host.
    Timestamp 2021-02-26 11:00:04
    Host 127.0.0.1
    User
    URL WP-Cron Scheduled Task

I use WP Mail SMTP to send mail via GSuite. From what I surmise it appears as though iThemes is trying to connect to an SMTP server located at 127.0.0.1, locally. It is supposed to be using WP Mail SMTP instead. I have checked WP Mail’s config multiple times. I never get a send error ever.

Why would iThemes be trying to connect directly to a server at localhost?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Sorry, I meant this message for iThemes but if anyone can offer advice I’ll take it. Thakns

    Hi @aglyons,

Thanks for reaching out. Yes, iThemes should be sending emails by using the default WordPress function without any SMTP to route the emails through WP Mail SMTP and Gsuite. Please consult with iThemes documentation or support on this.

    Regards,
