I can send a test mail successfully. But I get prompted with this error in the WordPress admin.

EMAIL DELIVERY ERROR: the plugin WP Mail SMTP v2.2.1 logged this error during the last time it tried to send an email:

    Mailer: ?vrig SMTP
    SMTP Error: data not accepted.

I’ve reviewed the settings and also talked to my webhost. The settings are good. What can be wrong when I’m able to send a test mail successfully?

SMTP user name is equal to From email. I don’t use the force option.

  • Hello,

I’ve just noticed that my error is not solved, when I created an account for someone else.

Here you can read my settings : https://zupimages.net/viewer.php?id=21/06/mblc.jpg
Here you have the error : https://zupimages.net/viewer.php?id=21/06/5s48.jpg

I didn’t sent a lot of email before.

I am using Contact Form 7, EWWW Image Optimizer, Facebook for WooCommerce,
Force Regenerate Thumbnails, Jetpack par WordPress.com, PW WooCommerce Gift Cards, Search Products PRO, Super Socializer, WooCommerce, WooCommerce Booking, WP Super Cache,
    Yoast SEO.

    Hi @jokki,

the error that you got is different. It’s not the “SMTP Error: data not accepted.” error discussed in this topic…

It looks like you reached a limit for number of emails sent in 1 hour. This looks like an SMTP server limitation… You should contact your SMTP server support and ask them about what kind of limitations they have.

    Have a nice day!

    Hello,

Indeed I contacted my provider and it is ok now.

    Thanks
