• Hello,

Same with me and I have entered every conceivable config.

I have done test from test tab. This is when I change from smtp.domain.com to my actual smtp server given by my hosting.

SMTP ERROR: Failed to connect to server: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known (0)SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting

Spent a few days back and worth with hosting provider – they have it working, it also works from Thunderbird, webmail and just now I’ve tried that other very popular SMTP mailer for WordPress that I won’t mention. Worryingly that worked too.

I’ve always used this with gsuite email I was using this mailbox with my hosting provider.

    Version 5.2.2 WordPress
    Version 1.3.9.1 Of Your Plugin

Please let me know if I can provide further info that could be of use.

Many thanks for your time it’s valued.

Yes, but WP Mail SMTP plugin works with identical settings.

The only difference is that the option in the screenshot here is offered in that plugin https://prnt.sc/onkdpj

    Hi,

Spent a few days back and worth with hosting provider – they have it working,

Can you elaborate further please. For example: Are you saying that your host was able to have our plugin work for you.

I’ve always used this with gsuite email I was using this mailbox with my hosting provider.

Are you saying that it used to work with your gmail account? If not what do you mean?

    Who is your host?

    Regards

The hosting provider tested smtp protocol over desktop software and it worked. I also had it working on Thunderbird & Webmail

I’ve always used this with gsuite email I was using this mailbox with my hosting provider.

On other domains using this plugin I’ve not had any issues. However this domain is using my hosting provider server not smtp.gmail.com

My host is 34SP.com UK host.

I attached the photo as the only setting different between this plugin and the one that worked was me choosing “other smtp” in WP Mail SMTP.

Hope this helps and thank you

    Hi,

So, what you are saying is that it works in other domains but not this one, is this correct?

What is the difference between the other servers and this server?

    Regards

What I meant was I use this plugin on all my sites but only with smtp.gmail.com. That always works.

This is the first time I’ve used my web hosts server and it does not work. WP Mail SMTP does work with my hosting provider using identical smtp settings.
