All In One WP Security & Firewall is blocking the access of Gsuite for SMTP sending from our server. Once I turn the plugin off the mail is sent.

How to I whitelist an SMTP plugin so that the security doesn’t block it?
There’s several firewall settings and i can set custom .htaccess rules – but what do I put here? the SMTP plugin author wont provide any information for this even tho it’s a premium plug.

    thanks

Hi, please try the following steps. Deactivate all Firewall rules, then carry out a test. If it works, then you know that it is one of the Firewall rules causing this conflict. If that is the case, start enabling one by one and at the same time carrying out a test. Do this until you run into the conflicting feature.

Let me know how you go.

    Kind regards

thanks – tried this – basically nothing can be ticked off without blocking email.

so the only solution is to allow smtp in the htaccess rules.

    how is this done?

    Hi,

Are you saying that disabling all Firewall rules the issue is still there? If it is still there, what about disabling other features in the plugin? Does the issue still persist?

    hi,
no, when i disable everything it works, but enabling something as innocuous as
Block Access to debug.log File it doesn’t work.

there must be some kind of parameters to unblock smtp but still have basic firewall protection?

Hi, this is very strange because no one has reported this and I know many are using SMTP plugins in their sites. What about 6G rule? Have you done any testing with this rule under Firewall rules?

    Regards
