SMTP not connecting

    after I install the plugin it seems that nothing is happening, no emails sent, no test emails working.
    By hosting company says the SMTP ports 465 are open.

    I have tried other SMTP plugins and they are also not working, this may be a WP issue not a plugin issue.

    I have tried this on another instance of WP, same issue,

    Hi marcopolo999,

    Certainly sounds like you have done you homework and found that it is a local issue. I can assure you that the plugin does allow you to connect to your SMTP account and works correctly as I use it myself.

    Let us know if you do find what the issue is and what exactly it was related to in case others find themselves in the same situation.
