Hi, I just came across your plugin and I have 2 questions:

    1. if I opt for MailPoet, do I still need another SMTP plugin/service like for example WP Mail SMTP or FluentSMTP or does your plugin replace the need for any additional “middleman-plugin”?
    2. I checked out other competitors and they often have several different plans, for example only for WordPress emails, only marketing emails, a mix, etc. Do MailPoet plans include all emails (no matter if WordPress or marketing emails from lists) or do I also need to get different plans with Mailpoet for regular WP emails and marketing emails?

    Thanks ??

    Hi there @melaniesinmek,

if I opt for MailPoet, do I still need another SMTP plugin/service like for example WP Mail SMTP or FluentSMTP or does your plugin replace the need for any additional “middleman-plugin”?

With MailPoet, you can choose to either send with our own MailPoet Sending Service, or with your own third-party SMTP or other sending method. You can choose how you want to send under MailPoet > Settings > Send with. If you send with our service, you don’t need any other separate SMTP plugin.

Currently, we do not have separate plans for different types of emails: all of our plans allow you to send your newsletters and marketing emails from MailPoet, as well as optionally setting it to send all site emails as well via the configured sending method. In other words, you can set it to send your WordPress emails, WooCommerce emails, etc — you can read more about the setting for that here:
    https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/292-choose-how-to-send-your-wordpress-websites-emails

And that is available with any of our plans.

    I hope this helps!
