SMTP Send function issue

  • Hello Aerin!

    I really appreciate your plug-in. It looks great, and is quite simple to implement.

    When I use my SMTP settings for Notifications, the person who registers for an event gets an email confirmation that shows it came from THEIR email address. It should be showing that it came from me and my email address.

    (ie- Joe Blow registers for an event on my site, Big Events. The confirming email goes to Joe Blow, and shows it originated FROM Joe Blow, when it should show as originating from Big Events).

    You had this issue noted in this forum some years ago, and you sent the person a fixed version, but apparently did not fix the bug for future releases…!

    The person reporting this problem was justinfm101(@justinfm101), 3 years and 5 months ago, and the title of the topic was “From email not specified (unknown sender)”

    Can you please send me the fix as well…?

  • Have you installed the latest version?

    I’ve checked the function and the email headers use the email address set up in the autoresponder as the sender.
