Sorry, in the end I had to deactivate your plugin and go with something else which worked out of the box.
Would have preferred yours – it was much more configurable – even in the lite version (very attractive design and slick functionality too, I might add); but I could not have a client’s contact form down for two whole days.

Yes … I am aware. Tried hardcoding the email address as such (per tin92f’s solution); and also tried using {field_id=”1″}.
