SmugMug Search Capability

  • I have the plugin installed and my SmugMug galleries are showing. Is there a way to use the plugin on my WP site to execute the keyword search function that is possible on the SmugMug site? I would like people to be able to search pictures with multiple keywords from WP.

    No, there isn’t. Basically SmugMug doesn’t support any type of keyword-based search via its APIs, so it is not functionality that can be included. Photonic has to rely on the APIs that SmugMug provides to implement all features.

    But more importantly, even if SmugMug offered this capability, I would have to offer you a separate search widget to fetch results from SmugMug, as the standard search of WP simply looks at WP posts and pages, not external ones.
