  • Hey @knowledgepower,

Hi Umesh – did look in console but nothing notable. I will add more if I see this recurring when updating Smush version in other sites.

I have the same problem since updating WP Smush.

When edit page loads, console has error: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘id’ of undefined

When I click the Add Media button the following error appears: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘audio’ of undefined

Both errors originate in load-scripts.php (load-scripts.php?c=0&load%5B%5D=jquery-core,jquery-migrate,utils,quicktags,jquery-ui-core,jquery-ui-widget,jquery-ui-mouse,jquery-ui-sortable,postbox,underscore&load%5B%5D=,backbone,wp-util,wp-backbone,media-models,plupload,wp-plupload,mediaelement,wp-mediaelement,media-views&ver=4.4.2)

Disabling WP Smush fixes the issue.

Same here. Missing TinyMCE buttons, Set Featured Image not working correctly… Also can’t dismiss the “Try pro for free” message. Seeing a JS error:

wp-smushit-admin.js:21 Uncaught TypeError: $(...).tooltip is not a function

EDIT: I can’t Smush from the Media Library, either. Clicking Smush button does nothing and logs another error:

wp-smushit-admin.js:3 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'length' of undefined

    +1 Same Problem !
Switching between visual text mode not working
Yoast seo field don’t working too !
    after updating

tengo el mismo problema desde que se actualizo el plugin

    Hey There,

    @knowledgepower, @dnbdojo, @schneidan, @kingpc, @emerflow,

I’m unable to replicate the issue on any of my site, and it seems to be a plugin conflict.

Can you possibly contact us through: https://premium.wpmudev.org/contact and provide us more details about the plugins, so that we can figure out what is causing the error.

    Thanks, Umesh

@schneidan, Can you try re-installing the plugin?

wp-smushit-admin.js:21 Uncaught TypeError: $(…).tooltip is not a function

We don’t have tooltip function anymore in the latest release i.e. 2.2.1 so that shouldn’t be there at all.

    Thanks

Try clearing the cache if you are using WP Super Cache for example. I had the same issues.

    Thanks @342

Exactly! That’s helpful too, been reading a few posts for people having Add Media button issue after WordPress 4.5 update.

So Cache is one of the culprits, if that doesn’t helps you out, you can definitely post a list of plugins being used or send us a mail with further details(Plugins list) on https://premium.wpmudev.org/contact, to check for a plugin conflict if any.

    Hi

Had the same issue and have narrowed it down to a conflict with ACF pro v5.3.7
The errors I get are are

TypeError: undefined is not an object (evaluating 'wp.media.view.settings.post.id')
TypeError: undefined is not a constructor (evaluating 'new QTags(a)')

So I can’t flick between the visual and text tabs in the WYSIWYG editor in ACF but I can in the default WordPress editor

For reference I backdated WP Smush it v2.1.5 and the problem goes away

    Hope this helps you

    Cheers
    Andy

Thanks you @andymoonshine, will look up for the compatibility with ACF.

Although it seems to be different issue altogether from what others are experiencing.

    Hello,
    the media button doesn’t work.
And I cann’t upload any image in the media library and cann’t upload any images in the post.
I have solved deleting the last version of WP Smush.
The issue is on the previous version of 4.5.

If you need more info, feel free to ask.

    Thanks

    Hey @pietro.montagna,

Can you provide me the plugin list on your site, if you don’t want to post it publicly, you can mail it on https://premium.wpmudev.org/contact, with a link to this thread and select “I have a different question” in the dropdown.
