    Hi there,
Having problems with Smush (and A3). If I deactivate Smush, I can see WPP thumbnails. If I enable it, the images do not show (neither does the ‘no image’ image)
Have switched off Lazy Load on WPP.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Neil

    Hi @neiltollfree,

Couldn’t say to be honest. Probably there’s an issue with Smush’s image lazy loading, you may want to reach out to their team and ask them about this.

Alternatively, you could also just exclude WPP’s thumbnails from Smush’s image lazy loading:

    1. Go to WP Dashboard > Smush > Dashboard.
    2. Click on Lazy Load.
    3. Scroll down to the Include/Exclude section and under Classes & IDs add .wpp-thumbnail (see screenshot below).
    4. Scroll down and click on Update Settings to apply changes.
    5. If you’re using a caching plugin flush its cache so these changes are applied immediately to your website.

    Smush's Lazy Loading Exclusions fields

Remember to enable WPP’s image lazy loading afterwards so its thumbnails are lazy loaded, otherwise browsers will load them normally.

    Hi man,
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Sadly, we’ve tried that and it didn’t make an difference.
We get the same behaviour if we uninstall Smush and use A3 instead.
Have you any other ideas we could try?
    Thanks for your help

I still see Smush’s lazy load classes and attributes on WPP’s thumbnails though (see screenshot below).

If your site uses a caching plugin (or if your hosting provider uses its own caching mechanism) make sure to clear its cache for changes to apply.
