Hi there I am hoping to use your plugin. I have recently been running some speed metrics on my site and have been advised to use the plugin smush.it to help cut down the images file sizes being used on my site.
My question is, is your plugin compatible with the plugin Regenerate Thumbnails or will it cause errors on my site if used. I have to use the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin as I also use the free version of Woocommerce, which unless you use this plugin gives you fuzzy images.
    Thanks

    Hi @aristillus,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

The WP Smush.it pliugin is compatible with Regenerate Thumbnails Plugin but if you face any issue using both then feel free to ask us so that we can help you to resolve it.

Please advise if you have more questions.

    Best Regards,
    WPMU DEV

I used your plugin but Regenerate Thumbnails is very slow now. If I deactivate the plugin Regenerate works fine.
    Regards,
    Tam

    Hi Tam,

Could you please try using the manual processing for that like so?

    1. Go to Settings > Media.
    2. For “Use Smush.it on upload?” select “Do not process on upload

Then you can manually smush the images after the thumbnails are regenerated, which should help the regeneration process, while still allowing you to process them with smush afterward.

Could you let us know how that’d work for you?

    Thanks!
    David
