Smush.it rarely completes

  • Over the last 3 months, maybe longer. on 3 websites Smush.it mostly (actually, nearly always) times out. Even on skimpy jpg files.

    I am about to ditch it as it is worthless. But thought to check here first. I couldn’t easily see a relevant post amongst the many that cropped up when I did a search.

  • Are you talking about a plugin? I have had the same experience with Smush.it using the web interface at https://www.smushit.com/ysmush.it/ , so if you are talking about a plugin I wouldn’t blame the plugin.

    I use the plugin but really I am talking about the web service that the pluginn calls as that is where the issue seems to lie.

    Yes, when I was looking into the service only a few weeks ago it was completing the job maybe 20% of the time.
