”Sneaky mobile redirects detected on https://bdnews.one/

    To: Webmaster of https://bdnews.one/,

Google has detected sneaky redirects for mobile users on your site. This means that mobile users visiting your site are redirected to another page or are shown different content than your desktop users. This creates an unexpected experience for Google Search users and violates our Webmaster Guidelines. Therefore Google has prevented the offending pages from showing in search results. This manual spam action has been applied to bdnews.one/. To reinstate these pages in search results, remove the spam and file a reconsideration request. After we determine that you have complied with our guidelines, we will remove this manual action.

As I am not using any such redirection ,can it be because of this plugin auto description ?

    Does this support multi site?

    Thanks
    Monsur

    Hi Monsur,

I’m really sorry this has happened! Unfortunately, this is out of my hands. This plugin also has no bias towards mobile or desktop, feel free to browse the code.

I can’t really tell what’s causing this, but I suspect that your advertisement provider is causing redirects on the home page (cycling ads).

The best thing you can do is to request a review.
You can read on how to do so here:
    https://developers.google.com/webmasters/hacked/docs/request_review

I wish you the best of luck!

    Thank you dear admin

I deactivated the plugin before requesting for a review .To deactivate I had to rename via FTP as I failed to deactivate via admin panel.

As the review is rejected ,your plugin is no way responsible for the redirection and you are right that my ads may be problematic. So I tried to reactivate after editing the name via FTP (I just kept the exact name as it was )

But I see the following on WP admin panel :-

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare the_seo_framework_locale_init() (previously declared in /home4/waa4g60aarfs/public_html/wp-content/plugins/autodescription/autodescription.php:104) in /home4/waa4g60aarfs/public_html/wp-content/plugins/autodescription/autodescription.php on line 105

May you pls check if I sent you the FTP details? How to send you the info ?

    Thanks
    Monsur

    Hi Monsur,

I believe the error you’re getting is because the plugin has been altered in ASCII with DOM mode rather than bit (i.e. UTF-8 without DOM) mode.

It’s very technical and requires manual code fixing.
So I think the fastest way to solve this is to delete the plugin through FTP and download it again through the WordPress plugin installation interface:

    /wp-admin/plugins.php

No data will be lost in this process.

I hope this helps! Best of luck!

    Thank you admin
I deleted the plugin via FTP and reinstalled via admin panel, then I saw the above noted problem ,that’s why I wanted to submit a ticket for your kind help.

    Does it work with multisite?

    Hi Monsur,

This plugin was initially built to be MultiSite only, so that’s in the roots ?? (that’s why it’s so clean).
In fact, https://theseoframework.com is running on a MultiSite network.

Although the error doesn’t show it; I think that either the plugin is running twice, or that you’d need to manually upload the plugin through FTP.

I hope this helps! If you still get the error, please let me know.

Thank you admin for the info.
I no longer see the error. To test I tried to deactivate the plugin but I just saw a blank page ,no successful deactivation occurred.

What may be the reason of not being able to deactivate via admin panel?

May I be sure that it is working now?

Is there any recommended setting after activation?

    Thanks a lot

    Hi Monsur,

By the looks of it, everything seems to be running well.
If this issue keeps coming back, please make sure there are no duplicated copies of The SEO Framework within your plugins folder.

About the recommended settings for SEO:
    1. Fill in the Knowledge Graph settings.
    2. Don’t touch the red settings.
    3. Adjust the Title and Description settings to your liking.
    4. Fill in your own descriptions when possible for new posts.
    5. Make good use of Categories (and optionally tags).

There’s a lot more to it, but it mainly comes down on how well written your content is, how fast your website is and how well people can find what they’re looking for on your website.

I believe your main focus should now be to get approved once more by Google and to find out what caused your initial issue in the first place.

    Best of luck!

    Hi Monsur,

    I hope you’re doing well :).

I see your website’s back in Google’s Search Results! Awesome!
Did Google explain the cause of the issue?

I’m marking this topic as resolved in the meantime.
    Have a wonderful day!

Thank you again, sorry I forgot to inform .You remembered !What a great man you are!

No,but I am sure the ads were creating the redirection ,but unfortunately https://bdhealth.news was rejected ,they said there is still redirection though I removed the ads.

    So out of 3 sites 2 are un-banned now -https://bdnews.one and https://banglarjob.com

I am so grateful to you for everything

    Thanks

    Hi Monsur,

I see on your bdhealth.news the following (obfuscated) script is loaded:
    https://content.green-red.com/lib/display.js

That it’s obfuscated is a really bad sign.
I deciphered it and by a glimpse it seems that it loads another website on the background to obtain more information. From this information ads are fetched.

Green-Red is an advertisement publisher, and I’m not sure Google is aware of their algorithm.

Please see if by disabling all ads (aside from Google’s) would help your website pass Google’s test.

Also consider only using bigger and trusted advertisement publishers. Like Bing Ads, Google Adsense and Amazon Associates.

    Best of luck!

    Thanks a lot dear admin,

Other 2 sites are approved with their ads,but this one is rejected twice ,so your brilliant finding must be true .So I disabled it and just reapplied.Perhaps the show different ads on different sites ,not honest
