Thank you for your response. Unfortunately I have tried to use & # 2 4 8 ; (without spaces). It’s as if the title field isn’t actually equipped to publish Scandinavian diacritics. Any other suggestions?

I just made a test post to try to replicate this on my test blog and can’t

my db collation is utf8_general_ci
and my blog is set to utf8

edit – funny the url is stopped here after the 1st vowel …hmmm
