Hi, I created a snippet using your instructions so that the plugin uses first image in post rather than Featured Image for the Google post.
The snippet variable is appearing in the post itself. That is %name_of_snippet% appears in the post. Any ideas?
Also, I’d love to be able to post photos from my WP posts straight to the Photos feature in Google My Business. At the moment I do this manually. Do you have a plugin for this or plan to add it to your GMB plugin?

    Hi @allancav,

I think you’re referring to the “fetch GMB image from post content” snippet at https://tycoonmedia.net/blog/filter-mbp_autopost_post_args/

These snippets can be installed through the Code Snippets plugin, or by placing them in your themes’ functions.php.

Once the snippet is active it should automatically grab the first image from the post, no need to use any % variables in your post (the image has to be uploaded/attached to that specific post though, it doesn’t work if you select a previously uploaded image from the media library).

Being able to upload photos directly from WP is a planned feature for a (near) future update ??
