Snippet View does not show correct blog post URL

  • I’m seeing this issue as well. It’s not a terribly big deal to me, but the snippet editor’s URL item doesn’t reflect the Permalink Structure set in WordPress. I’m concerned that it will confuse users when they see the structure isn’t like they are used to.

    I asked a similar question 6 days ago and I got no answer so far. I had the same issue and what is worse is that my site has 2 languages, and the URLs had /en/ and /pb/ to distinguish them (in the OP case he has the /person/)…I got all of them under the same URL with the new version and the same snippet for both…rolled back to 2.3.5…not going to fight with the several errors we are facing.

    any solution for this??Even after updating to latest version this problem is not solved.

    I just upgrated to the latest version 3.0.7 and am experiencing the same problem:

    Real Permalink URL : https://www.site.com/category/postname
    Yoast SEO Snippet View URL : https://www.site.com/postname

    I understand that this doesn’t mean a real permalink change, but why is the url in the snippet preview editable at all?

    And is the described above actually a real issue? Is the url address shown in the snippet preview being taken under consideration by Google?
