…and I’m told it’s this plugin’s fault by my discount plugin dev. That being said, I don’t believe him. I believe the plugin doing the discounting should handle the rounding.

While I am not out to blame any “one” plugin, I am out to find out what the hell is going on. This isn’t my first go at this problem either and everytime I think I’ve worked it out, I haven’t and I lose more money.

I’m using the WooCommerce Dynamic Pricing & Discounts from Code Canyon.
    https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-dynamic-pricing-discounts/7119279?s_rank=1

I don’t need to explain how many products and all that…it’s a simple mathematical issue…none of the plugins nor WordPress round the numbers up or down before sending the info to Paypal.

I WANT lines items sent to PP and I NEED (as everyone else) to be able to not ‘worry’ about the math when setting up a discount.

HOW CAN I RESOLVE THIS ISSUE??? PLEASE..

This is something that has proven very difficult to get working nicely between a bunch of plugins. The rounding issues actually come from WooCommerce in our experience. Sometimes WC rounds it, and other times it simply truncates. There doesn’t seem any rhyme or reason to when or why it does what.

The only way we can fix this is to reproduce the problem so we can see it happen for ourselves, force it to happen on a regular basis, and then troubleshoot and fix.

The problem is anytime somebody reports something like this we run tests that match what they’re telling us and we simply cannot reproduce the problem.

There are lots of settings in WooCommerce itself and then within various plugins for how to handle taxes. We need to be able to configure a site EXACTLY how yours is configured, and then do an order with the exact same items, pricing, discount rules, shipping, etc. so that we can reproduce the problem on a regular basis.

Are you able to provide exact details that will reproduce the problem each and every time?

Do you have a staging copy of your site we could troubleshoot from directly?

Thank you for the detailed reply.

I do happen to have another copy of my site up that I do updates on first. It’s not really a staging site but it is one you can mess with.

I’ll go through it and my active site and set up them up the same so you can see what’s what.

I’ll try to get back to you in within a couple of hours with some login details.

    Thank you again.

We’ll need to know exactly which item(s) to add to the cart and what discount rule to apply as well so that the problem will happen and we can see it.

    Completely understand.
