So many bugs in WordPress 4.7.5
-
I upgraded to the newest version of WordPress and have been disappointed by multiple bugs that are ruining what used to work well with WordPress for years.
Some of the bugs I was hoping someone can address/fix:
1) When logged in as an editor and reading through my live website, I will click the “edit” button to edit a post through the backend of WordPress. Keep in mind that I’m logged into WordPress when doing this. When I do this, WordPress now forces me to login, and I have to enter my login info TWICE each time because of some cookies issue. It used to be that while logged in, if I clicked the edit button on a post, it would take me to the back end of WordPress to edit the post, without any issues. Now I have to re-log in multiple times, which is very frustrating.
2) If I delete a photo that previously was at the top of a post and replace it with a new one, the new code for the photo deletes the first 100 or so characters of my post! That’s a lot of text that gets deleted every time I replace a photo. This NEVER used to happen when I would replace photos. It’s now eating into characters of the post.
3) WordPress automatically inserts the “more” code to the end of the previous line of text, no matter what. I like to insert my more on its own line, with a line break before and after it. Now, no matter where I put the cursor, the “more” code gets added to the very end of the previous line of text. Even if I put the cursor two line breaks below and hit “more” it jumps the text back up to the previous line. This is very very frustrating.
Does anyone know what is going on? I’ve been running my site on WordPress for over a decade, and this is the first time I’ve ever had these issues. It’s all extremely frustrating.
