• Nextgen Gallery doesn’t live up to it’s name. It was Next-gen in 2001, not in 2014. It has a huge amount of features but these are not easy to use. The user interface is outdated and the last version 2.x breaks my WP admin pages.
Roll-back to 19.x was is the only fix ??

  • Hi DJF3, I’m noticing that you’re referencing 2.x. Usually when users update and/or review, they list an actual specific version? Which version did you actually update to?

Also, you mentioned rolling back to 1.9.13, which is 8 months old. If you were using 1.9.13 prior to updating, that means you’ve been using NextGEN Gallery for a long time (at least 8-9 months), so you’re already familiar with the interface. Do you mean to say that the refreshed 2.0.61 interface (from 2013) is more outdated and/or complex than the 1.9.13 interface (designed and unchanged since 2007) that you rolled back to?

Just trying to understand your remarks. Thanks.

@djf2: any additional thoughts or details here?

FYI – I did try to check for any recent forum threads from you, but your last NGG related forum threads appear to be from two years ago.

    Hello Edanzer,

@djf3 – Just following up on some old reviews. As you know, your review was written following a major overhaul of the plugin in version 2.0.

I’m not sure if you’ve had a chance to use NextGEN recently, but at this point, most of the issues related to that overhaul of the plugin have been long addressed.

Given the current performance of the plugin, a one-star rating seems a bit harsh, and we’re wondering if you might consider revising your rating?

Let us know if you have question. Thanks. (Erick)
