    Dear SiteOrigin,

I believe last week we received an update on the widget bundle.
Some of my visitors brought to my attention that the Social Media widget buttons are not showing correctly anymore.

    Please see footer of https://www.bbqsidekick.nl

    Hi, thanks for reaching out.

There are console errors present, if you’d like to view them yourself, here is how https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/using-your-browser-to-diagnose-javascript-errors/#step-3-diagnosis.

You can perhaps try a quick plugin conflict test. Does the issue persist if you temporarily deactivate all plugins except for those authored by SiteOrigin?

    Hi Andrew!

    Thanks for the quick response!

For the console output: yes I have tracked down these issues to 1 specific plugin, not of SiteOrigin. After deactivating this plugin, errors in console dissapeared, but issue on Social Widget remains.

After that I have deactivated all pluggins on the site and the issue persists. Only active pluggins are SiteOrigins Page Builder, Widgets Bundle & CSS. Currently installed versions are:
    Page Builder (Version: 2.12.0)
    Widgets bundle (Version: 1.18.2)
    CSS (Version: 1.2.14)

Other actions I have performed to check the origin of the problem:
    – Purged Browser cache
    – Checked in incognito view
    – Purged Server side caches.
After these checks, with all non-siteorigin pluggins disabled the issue still persists.

    – currently the site is still down, and you can check the current output. We will be resuming “normal” operations around 15.00 CEST.-

Thanks for the updates. The contents of the span tag within each social icon aren’t present. I’m not sure why at this stage. Is there any change if you re-save the widget?

I have changed 2 thins to test:
    – added “test” to on of the socials in Pictogram titel
    – added “XX” to the widget header title

Both have no influance on the behavrior / displaying of the icons

If you have FTP access you could perhaps try deleting the so-social-media-* CSS files in your /uploads/ folder and then re-save the widget wherever it is used.

    Hi,

Can you please try reinstalling SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle to see if that helps?

Before proceeding, please do a backup.

Navigate to Plugins > Installed Plugins and deactivate SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle, then delete it. Scroll to the top of the page and click Add New and search for SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle and install it. When prompted, activate SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle. Does this issue remain?

    Kind regards,
    Alex

    Hi Andrew & Alexgso!

The removing of the files in /uploads/ did not help.

Reinstalling the plugin fixed the issue! thank you for the support!
