Social counts for Fcaebook and Twitter not showing

In the meantime, what plugin are you using to get/show these counters?

Hae Jacob I am using AccessPress Social counter. Everything has been OK, I just noticed today on all posts. I even tried telling a friend to share and he did but it still didn’t show.

When I ran the link on the Facebook debugger it shows the number of counts but does not reflect on on the site.

Make sure you’re running version 1.6.2 of their plugin, released 2 days ago. From their changelog:

Fixed the facebook counter issue for the wordpress version 4.6.

James thank you for bringing up that, I am actually using the updated version. I think the problem then lies on the Facebook API changelog according to the link you have sent me.

The update to the plugin is supposed to have resolved it apparently.

Hallo James, I have replied on the thread thank you. Hope I get help soon its so frustrating when posts show 2 shares.

When I try to run a post on Facebook debugger, it shows the count not reflected on the site. When I check a post on Graph API this is what it shows.

You’ll need to continue with the developers of the plugin. They’re the ones who know the right way to fix their plugin.

Alternatively, consider switching to a different social sharing plugin.

FYI, Twitter removed the counter from their button some time ago.

Thank you. I didn’t know that. So I decided to take your advice and use a different plugin. I realized the social icons are in built/comes with the theme am using.

The only problem I have now is that the reduced total counts is still displaying on my home page on each post.

What is the name of the theme, and where did you get it?
