Social icons in footer are gone?

    The “Footer social icons” options is selected in the theme options, but the icons don’t show up at the website after the update.

    Is this a bug of could there be something else that’s wrong?

  • do you have the links for each social site added? try checking to see if you have them filled in.

    Thanks for your quick reply. Can you tell me where to find this option after the theme options moved to the Customizer?

    All I can see at the Social tab on Dazzling options is:
    Social icon color
    Social icon hover color
    Footer Social icons (check to show social icons in footer)

    Unfortunately no options to fill in the links…
    I’ve checked all other tabs as well.

    did you look in Appearance > Theme Options > Social?

    Well, that’s the problem I think. Theme options is removed from the appearance menu since the latest update.

    I hope you are well today and thanks for posting here.

    In the latest version of Dazzling theme the social icons are created differently as described below :

    1. Create a menu like any other menu in the admin area of your site under Appearance -> Menus .
    2. Use the correct urls in the menu items, so for twitter it must be twitter.com for facebook it must be facebook.com. Otherwise URLs won’t get recognized and you will get squares without icons.
    3. Set theme location for this menu as “Social Links”
