Social icons link not working

I can see the icon on your website and the link is working. Where did you find an error?

Icons aren’t displaying. Loaded into folder on server correctly. Folder privacy appears to have web read write via inherit. This html won’t resolve image: <img src=”https://altaautomotive.com/wp-content/plugins/speed-contact-bar/public/assets/images/phone_dark.svg&#8221; width=”30″ height=”30″ alt=”Phone Number” scale=”0″> web site https://altaautomotive.com/ Neither IE nor Chrome will display.

Your server delivers a wrong value for the “Content-Type”: “application/octet-stream”. So the browser tries to render the icon file and failes. The value should be “image/svg+xml”. See how to configure your server at https://www.w3.org/services/svg-server/

Thanks for explaining this. I’m hosting on IIS using godaddy. It has been problematic to get dodaddy to change their web server configuration in the past. I understand the advantages of svg but, wondering if you’ve considered using a different file extension?
