    what I did was, I just made sure that in Settings/Comment Settings
    I have
    Yes, show the Social Login buttons (Default) checked
    and
    Show the Social Login buttons in the comment area if comments are disabled for guests?
    Yes, show the Social Login buttons (Default) checked

    then I pressed SAVE SETTINGS and it started working

    I think hitting SAVE made it active and working. I hope it’ll work for you.
