I installed a plugin that was suppose to feature social icons, after playing around with the plugin I did not like it and deleted it from my website. However, the plugin is still populating social icons at the bottom of my posts.

How can I get rid of this? I have spent a couple hours trying to find a solution to no avail. I reinstalled that plugin and deleted again with no luck.

Lost on where to go now.

It is only affecting my current theme, if I go back to an old theme it will go away??

I have cleared the cache as well.

Go into your database (I’m assuming you have php My Admin) and in the wp_options table look for an option called ‘twitter_facebook_share’ and delete it.

That is not in there anymore, whats wierd is it will only show up on my current theme?

Have you confirmed that the plugin files are deleted from your server?

yes they are not under the plugins folder in my FTP

Are you certain that’s not baked into your theme. According to my reading of the plugin it should disable itself on a mobile but I can see your social icons on my phone.

I also see that the plugin’s style sheet is not in the <head> section of your page so it appears to me the plugin is not loading.

Reinstalled the whole wordpress and this still comes up in the posts!
